Austin McMenimen of the Durango and Telluride Mountaineers drove toward the net looking for a shot against the Gunnison Blades during a Midget Major A U18 game Sunday at Chapman Hill Ice Rink. The Mountaineers got goals from Danny Cummins and Chad Brickey to win 2-0, completing a 2-0-2 weekend, finishing fifth in their league and advancing to this weekend’s state championships in Denver.
