Kain Lucero and the Pagosa Springs High School boys basketball team captured the Class 3A championship on Saturday with a 53-49 victory over Kent Denver at Moby Arena on the campus of Colorado State University in Fort Collins. Lucero scored 18 points to lead the Pirates to their first title since 1960.
