One Lyon pounced on an eagle.
Natalie Lyon eagled a par-5 to lead the Durango High School girls golf team to second place at Bookcliff Country Club.
Lyon took fourth overall in Grand Junction on Monday, shooting a 87 to lead the Demons to a 278 total.
She shot a 40 on her front nine holes.
“She played really well,” DHS head coach Kirk Rawles said.
Sister Haleigh Lyon shot a 95, and Reilly Waldo and Brooke Kniffin each shot 96 to put four Demons under 100.
“It’s pretty solid,” Rawles said.
“Reilly in her round: five pars and three birdees.She had a couple blowup holes, but she played really well.”
Amanda Rydiger rounded out the varsity with a 108.
Jessica Pohlman shot 115 and Courtney Peterson 120.
“They keep inching closer with every round,” Rawles said.
Chelsea Peterson was the medalist with a 79, leading Montrose to a first-place 258. Grand Junction Central was third with 283.
The Demons play at Tiara Rado in Grand Junction today.
