Herald owes an apology for death story

Regarding the recent story about Taylor Folmar’s death (Herald, May 14): It was absolutely abominable that it was allowed to be published.

For including details of his death and the events leading up to his death that were inappropriate and irrelevant to the story, the writer of this article should be fired along with the editor of the paper.

Publishing these embarrassing details has burdened his life and death with humiliation, along with his family and friends. Three days after his death, his sister and Taylor’s Durango family put on an event that was a celebration of his life, and this story has caused that to be discounted by everyone who did not know him.

Because of the choleric attitude of all Taylor’s friends and family, an apology needs to be published because of this poor decision of the Herald and its editor.
