Lawmaker’s comments illustrate state divide

Is there any wonder some residents of Southwest Colorado feel alienated from the Colorado state government? I just read the comments (Herald, Sept. 26) made by Rep. Kevin Priola of Adams County, about driving the narrow mountain roads being dicey. He made his wife get out of the car a few times. Really? He sounds more like a Kansas tourist than a resident of Colorado. This tour might point out the actual aliens. The representatives working at the Capitol mistakenly believe they understand how to govern the entire state of Colorado. Hopefully, this statewide tour will be of benefit to all residents of this diverse state.
