Firefighters with Durango Fire Protection District standby as Durango police officers investigate the scene of a single-vehicle accident Friday morning in the 700 block of Animas View Drive. The male driver of the vehicle was transported to Mercy Regional Medical Center with what was described as minor injuries. The vehicle left Animas View Drive and struck a tree on private property.
