Statue is welcoming, unlike intersection

The new “Arc of History” public art at the U.S. Highway 550/160 intersection may be a distraction for some people, but not me. It made me curious and want to fly away from the orange cones, the newly painted traffic lines going every which way, the raised medians with high concrete curbs and signs, which make me wonder if I need to go back to grammar school.

But the sculpture is very welcoming. I like it and appreciate the message it sends to me, a new resident.
