New sculpture lures Flintstones to town

While on a recent vacation to Durango, the Flintstone family was so highly impressed with the new rock sculpture at the intersection of U.S. Highway 550/160 that they decided to move here after years living in their native town of Bedrock.

Fred will be working at a local rock and gravel quarry. Wilma will continue her stay-at-home-mom duties, and Pebbles can hardly wait to ride the train. As for Dino, he was wagging his prehistoric tail when he was told Durango is pet-friendly. I’m sure we’ll see him at local banks and downtown merchant locations being handed Milk-bones for treats.

Durango should welcome this family with open arms, and we should all follow their eco-friendly habit of driving cars with their own two feet. Their fashion sense in wearing leopard skin attire is also a major plus if we all adopted the style, since certain northeastern tourists will feel right at home.

Word is out. Barney, Betty and Bamm-Bamm are soon to follow. Get ready, Durango, we’re gonna have a rockin’ good time.
