Thanks to all for being safe this summer

The first scarlet leaves are out, and the geese are practicing formations. We made it through most of the summer of construction. So I wanted to thank those of you, locals and visitors, who signaled (on bikes and in cars) to turn or change lanes and those who politely let other cars in the line and took time to wave and smile as they pass.

We live in a small town because if you cut someone off or you flip them off, they might be your banker or your kid’s teacher. There were lots of accidents that could have been avoided and were by safe drivers who weren’t stoned or drunk. As we go into fall and watch for the schoolchildren and elder drivers, I just wanted to thank people for being safe.

One of the casualties was Linda’s Local Food Café, next to Albertsons. All the construction hurt her financially. She has been one of those community members who always helps others, organizes projects and influences people to do what is right. It would be great if you would consider helping by going down there for some great food and support her. Thanks again, be safe and a good neighbor like Linda.
