Use scultpure to combat immigration

At last there is a cure for the massive invasion of illegal immigrants crossing into America via the Mexican border. Move the hideous $28,000 thing placed at the new U.S. Highway 550/160 intersection to the Mexican border near the most popular crossing.

One look at the sculpture will convince the illegals that Americans are far more insane and dangerous than the authorities in the countries they are running from. Word will spread quickly as the illegals flee for their lives back into Mexico.

Since Sidny Zink is so proud of the sculpture she can find a good spot near the border crossings. This will give Zink a legitimate reason to be proud of the thing.

Seriously, what kind of irresponsible people are running the city of Durango and Colorado Department of Transportation? According to CDOT’s highway regulations, anything distracting drivers is a major cause of vehicle accidents. As drivers are gawking at this piece of junk trying to figure out what it is, their concentration certainly will not be on their driving. CDOT takes this so seriously that its workers will return yard sale signs to the people holding the sales with a warning of fines if placed near the highway again.

Sadly, there is no evidence of remorse or apologies from the Durango city leaders who have squandered this enormous sum of taxpayer money to an out-of-state location, instead of going to the endless needy projects in our area.
