Gabi Razma, a Durango High School alumna, was named the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week for the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology volleyball team.

Razma, daughter of Ed and Kristina Razma of Durango, a Rose-Hulman freshman studying biomedical engineering while running track and field and playing volleyball, won her third HCAC defensive player of the week honors this season.

She had 67 digs in three matches for the Fightin’ Engineers last week in one win and two losses. She averaged 6.09 digs per set.

Razma is among the Division III national leaders in digs with 624 through 29 matches; she is averaging 5.72 digs per set.
