CDOT signal work to take place Sunday

Bruce Kuhn, left, and Floyd Barela, both with the Colorado Department of Transportation, put up new signs at the intersection of Main Avenue and 25th Street. CDOT will be working on rewiring traffic cabinets and replacing street lighting Sunday morning.

Expect traffic delays Sunday morning while signal repairs are done at Ninth and 27th streets.

The Colorado Department of Transportation will shut down the traffic signal at Ninth Street and Camino del Rio from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. Sunday. Flagging staff will be on sight controlling traffic for those two hours.

At 10 a.m., or when work on Ninth Street has finished, crews will move to 27th Street and shut down traffic signals there until noon.

The repairs involve rewiring the traffic cabinet and replacing the street lighting at 27th Street with LED hardware.
