DHS alumna digs the Heartland Conference Defensive MVP

Durango High School alumna Gabi Razma has made herself at home in the Heartland College Collegiate Athletic Conference.

In her freshman volleyball season at the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Razma was named the HCAC Defensive Most Valuable Player.

She led the conference in digs per set at 6.69 in conference play and dug 5.74 balls per set across all competitions.

Razma finished with 666 digs on the year and was named to the conference’s All-HCAC team and the All-HCAC freshman team.

She was named the HCAC defensive player of the week three times during her freshman season, the first player ever to accomplish that feat.

Razma, daughter of Ed and Kristina Razma, also will compete on Rose-Hulman’s track and field team in the spring.
