A Consumer Reports story recognizes Mercy Regional Medical Center for its patient-safety record.
The February issue of the magazine said Mercy is among 32 hospitals nationally that earned the two highest ratings in at least eight or nine patient-experience categories, and it didn’t have any low scores.
Mercy was among four Colorado hospitals that received the high rating. The magazine study looked at 2,591 hospitals nationally.
Scores are based on issues such as infection rates, communication with doctors and nurses, hospital readmission, and mortality.
