Mercury receives two customer service awards

Mercury Payment Systems, headquartered in Durango, received two awards for customer service.

Mercury Payment Systems, a Vantiv company and a provider of payments technology and services for small and medium-sized businesses, announced Thursday that it received two prestigious awards for its customer service, according to Metzger Albee Public Relations news release.

The Customer Service Institute of America selected Mercury for the 2014 “International Service Excellence Award” in the medium business category. The National Customer Service Association also selected Mercury as the “Service Team of the Year” for 2014.

“I am extremely proud of the Mercury team for exemplifying our commitment to service leadership,” said Charles Drucker, chief executive officer at Vantiv in a news release. “At Mercury and Vantiv, customer service is more than just support, it’s part of our DNA. For us, award-winning customer service is a cornerstone of our customer value proposition.”

The Customer Service Institute of America is the entity designated by the International Council of Customer Service Organizations to manage the “International Service Excellence” awards. The awards are the world’s top customer service recognition for organizations and individuals that excel in service around the globe, the release said.

Companies and individuals are judged according to rigorous criteria developed by the council. The National Customer Service Association “Service All-Star” awards are designed to recognize a service individual, a service team and a service organization for going above and beyond their normal team duties, the release said.
