Coaches and players from the Durango Area Youth Hockey Association will give tips and pointers on how to skate and play hockey to children during the “Try Hockey Free Day” event to take place Feb. 21.
Free hockey lessons will be offered Feb. 21 at Chapman Hill Ice Rink & Ski Area for children ages 10 and under. The session, called “Try Hockey for Free Day,” will take place from 2 to 3 p.m.
Participants will be able to try on hockey gear and skate with coaches and players with the Durango Area Youth Hockey Association. Coaches and players also will offer pointers to kids.
The event is free of charge and will include a hockey jersey and a goodie bag for the first 40 participants to arrive.
