Protecting voting rights at all costs

I am concerned that our basic rights as American citizens are being slowly eroded. Have we lost sight of what the civil-rights struggles were all about? There has been virtually no evidence of voter fraud, but that is being used in several states, including our own, to justify more and more identification required when voting. This puts a burden on the poor, the elderly, students, minorities and others. I would hope that our county clerk who says that she is hearing from many in support of such practices also is hearing from those who are in opposition. Voting is a fundamental right that should be protected at all costs.
