Schools should have known of shooting

Sean Smith just faced his first shooting as sheriff of La Plata County. During this shooting, the Ignacio School District was never notified of it, even though it was next door to the high school. As sheriff, Smith, should have policy and procedures for such things. As soon as this shooting was reported, the ISD should have been notified. As soon as the shooter headed down Buck Highway toward Bayfield, Bayfield School District should have been notified. I see this as a major failure of Sean Smith protecting our kids. For those of you that will question and ask, yes, I have checked if they had notification. They did not!
