Rinderle to lead state board

City councilor new president of municipal league
Rinderle

Durango City Councilor Christina Rinderle will be sworn in as president of the Colorado Municipal League’s Executive Board later this month.

“It will be an absolute honor to be the President of CML, an organization dedicated to supporting municipal leadership,” Rinderle said in an email.

The league advocates for issues that matter to municipalities at the state Legislature and provides resources to local city officials.

Right now, Rinderle, who is in her second term on the board, is vice president. She will serve a one-year term as president.

Representatives on the 21-member board are elected by a vote of the 267 municipalities who are members of the organization.

This year, the board aims to work on five main goals, including expanding training resources and developing legislative solutions to municipal issues.

“I am proud that Durango was a founding member of this organization and continues this synergistic relationship,” she said.
