Time running out to sign up for water

La Plata West Water Authority is offering an opportunity for a not-so-dry future on the west side of La Plata County. Wow! This is something to write home about. Better yet, this is something to sign up for!

Many people have experienced that terrible feeling that hits you when you turn the faucet on and nothing comes out. LPWWA is offering an end to that feeling for people who sign up for a water tap. The domestic water system will deliver a reliable source of quality, clean domestic water.

The LPWWA board is currently signing people up for the water taps, but time is running out! The last day to sign up for Phase 1 is June 27. LPWWA is signing up people that live west of County Road 136, along County Road 141 and south toward Kline. If you have questions about the domestic water system, visit www.lpwwa.org or call (970) 749-1949. The board members also have information available about several different funding sources for individual financial help.

Like our grandparents who brought electricity to our rural homes, we have the opportunity to provide a better quality of life for our children and grandchildren with the domestic rural water system.

We encourage all eligible landowners to sign up with LPWWA for a water tap!
