We do think that a nice, new, updated airport would be a great addition and resource for La Plata County, however, let’s not put the cart before the horse.

We are frequent flyers and will do almost anything to avoid flying out of our Durango-La Plata County Airport. Three of our last four flights have been canceled or delayed, causing missed connections or a shortened vacation, not to mention the stress of re-booking for another flight. This is unacceptable. Recently, we have been flying out of Grand Junction. There are multiple flights per week to Las Vegas and Los Angeles where there are multiple connections to any place you want to go.

Did I mention a ticket is way less than half of what we pay here in Durango to fly to Denver. Only $118 to fly to Las Vegas round-trip. Come on, United Express, step up. We are tired of dealing with you.
