Celebrating together

“This time of year, there are a lot of people celebrating, and unfortunately, there is a part of our community that can’t even have a simple cook-out or picnic,” said Sarah Smith, director of the Durango Food Bank, which held its Independence Day Barbecue for clients and volunteers Thursday at its Bodo Industrial Park location. Regina Benjaminsen, foreground, and Herb Young, background, were among those who joined the party.
