Haters could work to improve America

I’ve been reading up on politics and the law, and I’ve discovered that Barack Obama is constitutionally ineligible to run for a third term as president. That fact might allow our professional haters to begin to focus their considerable energies on smearing those candidates who are actually running, instead of on the president, who will be leaving office in 2017.

I admit that I take issue with many things the president has done – and not done – but he was constitutionally elected (twice) and will be judged on his actions while in office and not on what so many people think of him personally.

As interesting as it is for me to read about Benghazi, and birth certificates, and Benghazi, and community organizing, and Benghazi, it would be more helpful to read about what the current candidates actually believe and what plans they have once they’re in office.

Anyway, haters, thanks for the last six years of entertainment. It’s a pity that at least some of their energies couldn’t have gone to making America a better place instead of trying to tear it down.
