Reauthorize LWCF before it expires

In my experience traveling throughout many states, I’ve seen the impact that the Land and Water Conservation Fund has provided. From national parks, battlefields and even community open spaces, it’s obvious this valuable congressional law has gone unnoticed as of late.

We have approximately two months left to reauthorize a 50-year national conservation program that has provided so much to American lives. And yet, I don’t see enough news on how this is going to get accomplished.

The time is now. With more than 40,000 projects under the LWCF’s belt, we must reach out to each of our local and state officials and demand the reauthorization of this extremely important conservation program. After all, it only takes a small portion of offshore-drilling royalties and dedicates them to ensure our public-recreation opportunities remain intact and grow.

Who can’t get behind this? Please join all Americans and write your officials as soon as possible.
