Partial road closures planned for Florida Road and east 32nd St,

Florida Road and east 32nd Street both are slated to undergo maintenance and construction this week.

City crews will close the westbound, right-turn lane of east 32nd Street, just before north Main Avenue, starting Monday for about four days. The right-turn lane provides access for northbound travel on U.S. Highway 550.

The crews plan to repair a concrete manhole cover, said Levi Lloyd, director of city operations.

The sidewalk on the north side of east 32nd Street at North Main Avenue also will be closed, and all pedestrian and bicycle access around the project area will be detoured.

Starting at 8 a.m. Monday, Florida Road traffic will be reduced to one lane from North College Drive to the Riverview roundabout as street lights are replaced.

As crews move southwest from North College Drive, traffic control and the lane closure will move as crews work on the street lights.

Traffic delays should be expected, and travelers are encouraged to use alternate routes during both projects.
