Learn facts about Planned Parenthood

Anyone who supports Planned Parenthood needs to learn the facts about this “nonprofit.” Doing a little research simply by reading the book, Unplanned, by Abby Johnson, opens the door to this organization.

Planned Parenthood may advertise on its website that it provides cancer screening, test for STDs, etc. but not all services are provided and not all services are free. In fact, in Johnson’s book it reveals how Planned Parenthood was so greedy that the very women they say they help were the first to have services cut – if they couldn’t pay then they would not be served.

I recommend checking Planned Parenthood’s IRS form 990. Here you can see the salaries of the executives – again looks more corporate than nonprofit.

If you talk to a woman in an unplanned pregnancy, if she went for help, she received no counseling but was given an appointment for an abortion. Women need support during a most vulnerable time in their life – one mistake in judgment can be forgiven, but a permanent decision often means years of guilt, anger issues and depression, which has an effect on their relationships for many years unless helped.

Planned Parenthood does receive federal funds, and if the supporter of Planned Parenthood has short-term memory issues, ask Hobby Lobby how many millions it paid out fighting abortion as part of the Affordable Healthcare Law. Ask Susan Komen how Planned Parenthood bullied it into not cutting off its donorship. Komen was suspending services once it was discovered that Planned Parenthood did not do mammograms but made referrals at the expense of the patient or finding a clinic that accepted Medicaid.

There are community and faith-based organizations available that can give a woman the truth she needs to make an informed decision. The representatives who are standing for life and asking for more inquiries are doing what is right. No one should be afraid to know the facts and make sound decisions based on facts. Ronald Reagan said it best, The only people who support abortion are already born.
