Library hit by vandal

Just over a week ago, vandals threw a rock and broke a window at the Durango Public Library. Library Director Sandy Irwin said it will be an expensive repair because it is a double-paned window for energy efficiency and is specially tinted. Irwin expects repairs to made within the month. “It’s disappointing that a person would damage any public building, especially a community building like the library,” Irwin said. She added, “If anyone is mad at the library, come see me; don’t throw a rock.”
