Looking to promote your event? Listen up!

The Durango Herald has introduced Southwest Scene (www.swscene.com), a local events website, to create the most complete and robust event listings around.

One of our major goals here in the Herald A&E section is to make sure our readers know what is happening when it comes to art, culture, music and entertainment in the region.

To further this, The Durango Herald has introduced Southwest Scene (www.swscene.com), a local events website, to create the most complete and robust event listings around.

In the past, and as we transition fully to Southwest Scene, the Herald would collect event listings sent to us, compose short listings and publish them in print and online. With Southwest Scene, the control over your event listings stays with you, the promoter, letting you post event listings at your convenience with its simple and intuitive forms and allowing for quick and easy changes or updates. To post your event, go to www.swscene.com and click “Add Your Event,” fill out the form with all your event info and submit.

Posting events will always be free (though there are options for paid promotion through Southwest Scene) and take about one business day to process. With Southwest Scene, event listings will reach an even larger audience than in the past. Listings at swscene.com will continue to appear both at durangoherald.com and in our weekly print section.

Ultimately, the Herald will rely exclusively on Southwest Scene to gather the events you’ll read about in our publications. So now’s the time to get in on it.
