Guns kill more Americans than terrorists

Isn’t it curious how Rep. Scott Tipton, R-Cortez, wants to protect us from the alleged terrorists cowering amid women and children from war torn Syria, but will not raise a finger to help prevent the more than 30,000 deaths from guns in our country?

Yes, 250,000 have died from the war violence in Syria, but half that number have died from guns in the U.S. during the same time period and we have no war here. Is Tipton so afraid of the National Rifle Association to support something so simple as background checks?

Perhaps those checks might help keep guns out of the hands of the alleged terrorists in the midst of the refugees he tells us we should fear so much.
