Remember shelter animals this season

With the holiday season upon us, it’s imperative to remember our furry friends spending the holidays alone behind the bars of a shelter. There are over 8 million animals that enter the shelters in the U.S. every year, out of that 8 million, 2.7 million animals will be euthanized.

Eighty percent of those euthanizations are due to lack of space in the shelters, and the animal being there too long.

The other 5.3 million are locked in steel cages waiting to get their second chance at love, (ASPCA).

So when it comes time to grow the family and add a furry four-legged friend, look through the steel bars at the lonely hearts, give them a second chance to have the love of a family this holiday season.
