Call came in shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday
Officers with the Durango Police Department conduct an investigation Tuesday evening at Domino’s Pizza, 1485 Florida Road. An armed robbery occurred at the store shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Police are investigating an armed robbery shortly before 8 p.m. Tuesday at Domino’s Pizza, 1485 Florida Road, in Durango.

Sgt. Robert Taylor with the Durango Police Department said one person entered the store, and police don’t know if there was anyone else involved at this time.

“He claimed to have a gun, but no one saw it,” he said. “Nobody was harmed.”

Taylor couldn’t release the amount of money stolen.

Unfortunately, there’s no video to provide clues on the robbery.

“I was kind of surprised they didn’t have any,” Taylor said. “That’s all I can tell you tonight (Tuesday).”

A photographer with The Durango Herald saw three DPD squad cars at the restaurant shortly after 8 p.m., but the officers on scene declined to comment on the incident.

Domino’s closed for the night, and an employee said they would not be making any statements Tuesday night.
