Wow, aren’t we so lucky to live in a town where gasoline is now under $2? Think about it, we are an hour away from a refinery.
So, pity those who live in places like Pagosa, which is an hour farther away but paying even lower prices? That’s right: As of Feb. 1, gas in Pagosa was $1.75 at every station. Oops, City Market was $1.71. Head south of the border and pay $1.69.
In monopolized Durango, we were paying $1.87 at most stations. Why? Because of price fixing. Wake up, Durango.
