Durango-area churches to offer Holy Week services

Many area churches will hold special services and events during the week leading up to Easter.

Many area churches will hold special services and events during the week leading up to Easter. An asterisk indicates child care is provided.

Most other churches will hold their regularly scheduled services.

A schedule for Easter weekend will run March 26. A list of services reported to the Herald:

Christ the King Lutheran Church, 495 Florida Road., 6 p.m. Maundy Thursday and optional foot washing service; 6 p.m. Good Friday service.

First Baptist Church of Durango, 332 E. 11th St., 9 and 10:45 a.m. Palm Sunday worship services; 6 p.m. Good Friday service.

First Presbyterian Church, 1159 East Third Ave., 6 p.m. Tenebrae service on Good Friday.

First United Methodist Church of Durango, 2917 Aspen Drive, 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday, the Living Last Supper*; 7 p.m. Good Friday, worship service and Easter Cantata*.

St. Columba Catholic Church, 1830 East Second Ave., 7 p.m. Holy Thursday Mass of the Lord’s Supper; 7 p.m. Good Friday Passion of the Lord.

St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 15449 Colorado Highway 172 in Ignacio, 7 p.m. Holy Thursday and Good Friday Masses.

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 910 East Third Ave., 8:45 and 11 a.m. Palm Sunday Holy Eucharist Rite II; 5:30 p.m. Wednesday Stations of the Cross; noon ecumenical service and 5:30 p.m. Stations of the Cross on Good Friday.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2611 Junction St., 7 p.m. Maundy Thursday worship service; 7 p.m. Good Friday worship service.
