Area churches to hold Easter weekend services

Many area churches will hold Easter services Sunday.

Many area churches will hold special services and events during Easter weekend. An asterisk indicates child care is provided. All services are on Sunday unless otherwise noted.

Most other churches will hold their regularly scheduled services.

A list of services reported to the Herald:

All Saints Anglican Church, McPherson Chapel at Fort Lewis College, 10 a.m. traditional service from Book of Common Prayer with Holy Communion.

Christ the King Lutheran Church, 495 Florida Road., 5 p.m. Saturday Easter Eve worship; 6:45 a.m. Sonrise Easter worship at Greenmount Cemetery; 8 a.m.* contemporary worship; 10:30 a.m.* traditional worship.

First Baptist Church of Durango, 332 E. 11th St., 9 and 10:45 a.m. Easter worship services; brunch served from 10 to 11 a.m.

First Presbyterian Church, 1159 East Third Ave., 8:15 a.m.* sunrise service; 9:30 a.m. community brunch; 10 a.m. children’s egg hunt; 11 a.m.* worship service.

First Southern Baptist Church, 1715 West Second Ave., 9 a.m. continental breakfast; 11 a.m. Easter service.

First United Methodist Church of Durango, 2917 Aspen Drive, 5:30 p.m.* Saturday, contemporary worship; 6:45 a.m. sunrise service, outside weather permitting; 8* and 9:30* a.m. contemporary worship; 11 a.m.* traditional worship.

New Hope Durango, Community Concert Hall at Fort Lewis College, 10 a.m.* Easter service.

St. Columba Catholic Church, 1830 East Second Ave., 8 p.m. Saturday Easter Vigil; 7 and 9 a.m. Easter Mass; 11:30 a.m. Family Mass.

St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 15449 Colorado Highway 172 in Ignacio, 7:30 p.m. Saturday Easter Vigil; and 10:30 a.m. Sunday Easter Mass.

St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 910 East Third Ave., 5:30 p.m.* Saturday Easter Vigil; 8:45* and 11 a.m.* Holy Eucharist; 10 a.m. Easter egg hunt.

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 2611 Junction St., 9:30 a.m.* traditional worship.
