Vote for Bishop, get politics out of LPEA

As our ballots have arrived in the mail, and most of us just circle the first name that comes to mind for La Plata Electric’s board of directors, please consider voting for Ron Bishop. He is a someone who doesn’t focus on politics and focuses on our community and its residents.

This year, lets take the politics out of our consumer-owned rights and get back to the basics. Let’s choose someone with over 40 years of experience in the electric industry and understands the functionality of getting power into our homes.

Let’s put the consumer-owned rights back to the consumers by being represented by a fellow community member who knows the industry from the ground up. These sound-offs and meetings are nothing but empty promises for campaigning that get us nowhere.

We, the consumers, own shares in LPEA and Tri-State and need to have someone representing us with our best interest, not their own personal agenda. We need someone who stands behind their word with a firm handshake.

Ron is a family man and has lived in Colorado his whole life. He served in the U.S. Army and was honored with numerous medals, including the third highest medal, the Silver Star, for gallantry in action. He is a man of integrity and kindness to all who know him.
