Homeslice expands seating, adds outdoor bar on College Drive

Addition to be complete by late May

Homeslice Pizza is doubling indoor seating and adding a bar at its College Drive location.

“There will be an outdoor bar that opens up to the patio for the ease of margarita drinking,” said Cory Kitch, a co-owner.

A little more than half of the patio in front of the restaurant will remain when the addition on the front of the restaurant is finished.

The addition will feature two large windows with garage doors that will open up the restaurant so patrons can enjoy summer breezes.

The addition should be completed by Memorial Day, Kitch said. The bar will offer the same menu as the north Main Avenue location.

It’s the fourth renovation to the remodeled house on College Drive, where Homeslice got its start, he said.

Most recently, the kitchen was expanded to keep up with demand.

“Our delivery business has really ramped up in the last few years,” he said.

Next year, Kitch plans to build a kitchen at the north Main Homeslice to replace the food truck where the staff cooks now.

“Sometimes it’s hard to keep up with demand in the truck,” he said.

A roof-top patio is planned for the roof of the kitchen because outdoor dining has been popular at both locations.
