It’s time once again for the Spring Gallery Walk in downtown Durango.
Thirteen galleries will fling open their doors Friday night for an fun evening that showcases what they’ve got going on.
“Everybody pulls out all the stops,” said KK Patton with the Durango Gallery Association. “Everybody will have something special going on. All of the galleries participate.”
Here’s what to look for when you head downtown:
New works from Hokanson Dix glass and Sekoya art furniture. There will be a raffle for a gift certificate and food and refreshments.
Gallery will be featuring encaustic artist Bridgette Meinhold from Park City, Utah.
Center is featuring “Under Pressure: The Art of the Hand-Pulled Print” in the Barbara Conrad Gallery, and “The Thread,” a collection of solar plate etchings by Santa Fe artist Laurie Archer in the Art Library. The center will be open late.
Throwing a “celebration of all things handmade” and featuring the Durango debut of sterling silver and enameled jewelry by designer Carly Wright.
Featuring Gabaldon’s 40-plus piece “Homage to El Rio De Las Animas Perdidas” and live music by Jeff Solon.
Gallery will be featuring Nine Francois’ “Animalia” and Ron Martin’s wilderness photography.
Features fine-art photography of the Four Corners. Showcases the photography of photographer Frank Comisar.
Santa Fe artist Rod Hubble will be doing a live demonstration at the gallery.
Featuring “Earthly Presence,” an exhibit of Laura Bruzzese’s porcelain vessels and Carol Salomon’s beaded jewelry.
Featuring wire sculptures by Shay Lopez.
Featuring the Navajo sandpaintings of Zachariah Ben and vintage-style jewelry of Jesse Robbins.
