Be wary of pollution at Lake Nighthorse

I am writing in regard to the health of Lake Nighthorse. Being aware of the small size of the lake, the closeness to a well-populated area that will provide much usage, aware also that it will provide drinking water for many and that some are planning to allow motorized boats and other devices in the lake, I strongly object to the last point mentioned.

First is the safety of the public using the lake. A small lake with motorized boats, etc., will need policing as to speed, gasoline residue on the lake, the number of boats on the lake at one time, the sobriety of the boaters and more.

Second is the safety of the water for drinking. There should be an intense and thorough investigation as to the consequences of allowing fuel into the water system. We deal with contamination every day. Don’t give us one more area we have to deal with.

Please see this with sensitive eyes looking at the broad view, the healthy view and the view that will be for the good of all. Don’t see this as having to be fair to those who would pollute the lake.
