Palin to attend Western Conservative Summit

Former Alaska governor will join Trump in Denver

DENVER – Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin will join Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump in Colorado on July 1 at the

Summit organizers announced the conservative icon’s speaking role on Wednesday.

Palin also spoke at the event in 2014.

“We’re honored to have Gov. Palin return to the Western Conservative Summit. She was a popular presenter in 2014,” said Jeff Hunt, director of the Centennial Institute, which sponsors the Western Conservative Summit.

Palin is expected to speak during the same session as presumptive nominee Trump. He is scheduled to speak at 10:30 a.m.

Palin, who endorsed Trump in January, rose to notoriety in 2008 as Republican Sen. John McCain’s vice presidential nominee. Since then, Palin has become a powerful figure in the conservative community.

Since 2009, she has supported more than 150 conservative candidates.

In Colorado, Palin has endorsed Darryl Glenn in the Republican U.S. Senate primary.

The annual Western Conservative Summit, the largest gathering of conservatives outside of Washington, D.C., will be held July 1-3 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver.
