Palin bad enough, but please, not Trump

I can understand how the Republicans got sucked into putting Sarah Palin in line for the presidency, after all, she was a sitting governor. But more importantly, she looks good in a bikini plus she knows how to gut a moose, obviously, both important presidential qualities.

Now, the GOP proposes to inflict us with Donald J. Trump, a man with the greed and morals of Caligula, coupled to a cruelly childish mind. There is zero upside to this guy. He is toxic to the core. He is dangerous and he is puny. Jesus would have kicked his tail out of the temple and burned a hole through his soul with righteous indignation and fury.

But Jerry Falwell Jr. at “Liberty” University embraces and endorses him. Why? Because currently, Mr. Trump claims he will appoint Supreme Court justices who are against abortion. And for that, people of profound faith, morals and principle would put the fate of God’s jewel, this beautiful Earth and all its wondrous multitudes, in the hands of this degenerate clown?

I really thought that Paul Ryan would have had the courage and vision to reject Trump, negating the damage and shame that Trump has already caused our country and then move forward to rebuild his party. I could vote for someone with that kind of character in 2020, but sadly, he too has failed us all.

If the Republicans can’t actually stand up to Trump’s mindless minions and replace him, then surely you can at least deny him your support and service. In the GOP, cheap thrills and firepower “trump” rational thinking, courage and judgment in the defense of freedom and democracy.
