Photos released of man suspected in Downtown Smoke Shop robbery

Perpetrator still at-large

Durango Police have released images of the man who robbed a smoke shop in Durango at gunpoint Saturday in the hopes of identifying and capturing the suspect, who remains on the loose.

Around 2:11 p.m. Saturday, a single man “brandished a handgun and told the store clerk to give him all the money at Downtown Smoke Shop, located at 11th Street and Main Avenue.

The store sells smoking paraphernalia, among other items, but not marijuana.

The clerk gave the man an undisclosed amount of money, and the suspect fled.

The man is described as 6-foot tall with a “fit build” in his mid- to late 20s who wears glasses.

The man is considered “armed and dangerous.”
