Bennet just another dishonest politician

A few months ago, I emailed Sen. Michael Bennet’s office to find out how he felt about the genetically modified organism (GMO) labeling issue. I received a form letter that said something like, “Thanks for contacting me, I will keep your issue in mind.”

To me, this was worse than not responding at all because it didn’t even acknowledge what the issue was. So I called the office, spoke to an aide, and in a few days got a nice reply that said he was absolutely supporting the labeling of GMOs.

In a recent vote, I just found out that he voted against clear labeling. I have sent inquiries through his Facebook page (which nobody seems to monitor) and email and have met with complete silence.

The issue is not GMOs but how politicians are dishonest and will tell you what you want to hear (if you can get in touch with them at all). Then, after they lie to you, they will do the opposite of what they tell you.

This is but one reason why people are so fed up with politics and politicians.
