Tichi children drive, chip and putt way to regionals

I love good news, and Durango has a pair of siblings who will be taking their skills to the next level.

Levi and Lilly Tichi both qualified in the Drive, Chip & Putt Championship competition recently in Grand Junction. The twosome will go to regionals in Aurora next month in hopes of advancing to the next level of qualification for the 2017 national finals. If you were paying attention this spring during The Masters in Augusta, Georgia, you saw the outcome of the fourth year of this national event. This is a big deal and showcases the talents of our young junior golfers from all over the United States and fosters further growth of the sport for decades to come. So, good luck Levi Lilly in Aurora.

Dalton Ranch Golf Club

Some quick upcoming tournament action on the calendar as The Bugler will be contested Aug 4-6 at Dalton Ranch. This is a mainstay of the DRGC tournament schedule and should, once again, be a good one.

Hillcrest Golf Club

The Hillcrest Adult/Junior Tournament will be held Aug. 7. The tournament, sponsored by Coldwell Banker Heritage House Realtors, will cap off another successful summer for our juniors. The entry fee is $15 per person with flights. Check with the pro shop for getting paired with a junior golfer.
