New stop signs to go in on Junction Creek Road

Action designed to deal with limited sight line at intersection with County Road 205
On Monday, county workers will install stop signs at the corner of Junction Creek Road (County Road 204) and County Road 205 to make it a three-way stop.

Whether Junction Creek Road (County Road 204) is part of the daily commute or just someplace to access trails, drivers will need to start paying more attention on the route starting Monday.

A La Plata County Roads and Bridges crew will install stop signs at the intersection with County Road 204, which goes to Turtle Lake and the Falls Creek subdivision. The intersection will become a three-way stop.

“This will help address the limited sight distance at the intersection,” the county said in a news release.

The county has placed a digital sign near the intersection to remind drivers of the change, and it will remain for at least a week after the stop signs are installed.
