Eliminate fine arts and career and technical education requirements, allowing students to select 9.5 of their 27 required credits as electives.Allow more courses, some to be developed, to meet math and social studies requirements, such as personal finance literacy and issues in the 21st century. The goal is to support additional skills development.“These are just some tweaks,” 9-R Superintendent Dan Snowberger said. “We wanted to make the changes at the beginning of the school year so students could change schedules if needed. We don’t anticipate a mad rush to the counselors office.”
