Be bold and buck the two-party system

We are only two months away from electing a new president. This election has been unlike any other. It scares me to think of what will happen to our country if a charlatan like Donald Trump is elected.

That said, I do not believe Hillary Clinton is a much better choice. She has too much baggage and, if elected, nothing would get done as the Republicans would make it their mission to stop even good works for the people because they hate her so much.

Then who do you vote for? A charlatan or the quintessential politician? Many say they don’t want Clinton because she’s a “paid-for corporation politician.” Many say they want Trump because he’s not a politician. True, he’s actually a brand. He is a corporation unto himself. Not much of a difference if you ask me.

If the people truly want something different, they need to wake up and look beyond voting either Republican or Democrat. There are other parties. We have all been fed the party line, “If you vote for the Green or Libertarian party, then it’s a vote for Clinton or Trump.”

Imagine if everyone who really wanted something different ignored that political lie and took a moment to educate themselves and listen to what the other candidates like Jill Stein and Gary Johnson had to say, and voted for real change. Now that would make for a great election day.

It would represent people using their freedom to choose, looking beyond two parties, using their brain and listening to other candidates. Perhaps, then, they would demand that all candidates are able to participate in the debates and the people make a real choice for true change.

It is time to shake things up, to get away from the two-party system, corporate politicians and politics. If you really want that then don’t vote for Clinton or Trump, who is literally playing politics. Get online and inform yourself about the other candidates. Be bold and think for yourself. Don’t vote the party line, vote for someone you truly believe in.
