There seems to be no end to gas project

I am writing to address the invasive, loud and dusty project by Atmos Energy that is replacing the gas lines throughout town. I feel the project has been managed horribly.

This morning, I was awakened by saws cutting my street at 6:48. Instead of having a full crew on the street to cut the lines for all the houses at the same time, they only had two men, so this went on for two-plus hours.

They seem understaffed, and it’s impacting my right to quiet enjoyment.

It also seems there are no time frames for the permits issued to contractors by the city. Both the Santa Rita redo and the 32nd Street put-in project took months, if not years.

These construction projects, in my opinion, need to have time limits and penalties for not meeting them.

I am not an engineer, just a regular local, but it’s been a difficult summer dealing with this project that never seems to end.
