Free WIC farm stand at Head Start center

San Juan Basin Health and partner organizations have added a free monthly farm stand for WIC program recipients at the Roberta Shirley Center, 2019 East Third Ave.

San Juan Basin Health and partner organizations have added a free monthly farm stand for WIC program recipients at the Roberta Shirley Center, 2019 East Third Ave. The center is Durango’s only Head Start that meets during summer.

The Garden Project of Southwest Colorado and Manna Soup Kitchen collaborated with the health department to secure donated, locally grown produce. The final 2016 farm stand at the Roberta Shirley Center will run from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Oct. 6.
