As a long-term county resident, I have seen commissioners come and go. The debacle of the failed attempt to create a Comprehensive Plan a few years ago was a good example of divided, ineffective leadership.

Things have gotten a lot better with the current commissioners. Thanks to the efforts of Gwen Lachelt and Julie Westendorff, the comprehensive plan is moving forward again and may finally become a reality. It would be a shame to let the planning process fall into chaos again.

Vote for Lachelt and Westendorff and let’s get this done.
