What an election cycle this is! It is often hard to know what is fact and what is fiction. Here are just a few facts about Gwen Lachelt and why I strongly support the re-election of Lachelt as my county commissioner.

Lachelt took an effective leading role during the Gold King Mine disaster.Lachelt did not charge the county for her two trips to Washington, D.C. when testifying in support of the BLM’s Wasted Gas Rule, which is important to our area inasmuch as we have the highest methane emissions in the U.S., according to NASA studies.Lachelt served, effectively, as co-chair of the Governor’s Oil and Gas Task Force with no funds coming from the county.Lachelt’s good attendance record at Commissioner’s meeting is 93 percent.Lachelt’s record proves she has been an effective force as a County Commissioner, taking sound action on issues facing our county.I have know Gwen for over 30 years and know of her integrity, commitment and intelligence.Lachelt’s web site will give your additional information regarding the issues facing County Commissioners and her position.I am asking that you join me in voting for Lachelt in order that she may continue her effective work on behalf of La Plata County residents.
